saints peter and paul retreat

Fr. Nathan Symeon

Our Most Recent Retreat: Using Scripture to Grow in God’s Love

On Saturday, May 30th Saints Peter and Paul Church held a retreat with Fr. Nathan Symeon, host of Searchers of the Lost podcast. Fr. Symeon led a lecture and discussion on the teachings and the life of St. Augustine. This venerable Saint taught that reading the Bible is about learning to love God and others, not just understanding words, so when we read it, we should try to see the meaning behind the story, know a little bit about the time and people it talks about, and think about how it teaches us to live holy lives.

Fr. Symeon’s lecture was our second retreat of 2026. Earlier this year Fr. Deacon Ed Kleinguetl held a retreat on The Jesus Prayer. Join us for our next retreat… keep an eye on the Events Calendar for the next topic and special guest lecturer.
